Downer Australia awards Solgen Energy with another commercial solar power project for the Abercrombie Business School
Downer Australia have appointed Solgen Energy to install a 28.86kW solar power system on the roof of the Abercrombie student accommodation building at the University of Sydney.
This commercial solar power system forms part of the University of Sydney’s Abercrombie Precinct Project, a $180 million construction phase.
This is the single largest increase in the University’s learning facilities since the 1960’s, and will provide staff and students with four new lecture theatres, learning hubs and student accommodation.
In line with the University’s vision to create a place of engagement for University personnel, students and the wider community, whilst also creating a vibrant and sustainable environment, the installation of the solar power system will provide the University with a sustainable and renewable source of energy.
The agreement includes the design, engineering, installation and commissioning of the solar power system.
