Callen joined Anchorage in 2014 as Managing Director. Callen is Chairman of Contract Resources and South Pacific Laundry as well as a Director of Solgen Energy Group. Callen Chairs the Turnaround Committee for Solgen Energy Group and Contract Resources and is a member of the South Pacific Laundry Turnaround Committee. Callen also sits on Anchorage’s Investment Committee.
Callen has a strong track record of over 15 years advising on mergers and acquisition strategy, structuring and execution across a broad range of industries in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US. Prior to joining Anchorage, Callen was a senior partner at Minter Ellison where he advised many of Australia’s leading private equity firms on their investments in the region. In his previous role, Callen worked closely with the Anchorage team on all Fund 1 portfolio companies, commencing with the investment in Golden Circle in 2007. Callen has also worked for a number of years with leading law firms in London and New York advising on international M&A transactions.
Callen holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of NSW and has been admitted to practice law in Australia, England and New York. He also sits on the Council of the Australian Private Equity & Venture Capital Association.
