Solgen Energy to install 90kW of solar on three council owned buildings in Queanbeyan, NSW
Following on from the installation of solar panels at the Queanbeyan Library back in 2013, the Queanbeyan City Council extended their passion for sustainable energy and selected the next three council owned buildings to have solar installed. Solgen Energy is delighted to have been appointed all three projects equating to 90kW of installed solar power.
The RB Smith Community Centre, the Queanbeyan Conference Centre and The Q – Centre of Performing Arts, will all have solar systems installed to help alleviate the cost of electricity to operate the buildings and reduce the level of greenhouse gas emissions.
Solar energy is a growing trend in Queanbeyan and these commercial solar power systems form part of the council’s dedication towards sustainable energy. Queanbeyan City Council is very active with regards to renewable energy and climate change and is constantly educating residents on the benefits of solar.
The agreement to complete the three projects for Queanbeyan City Council includes the design, engineering, installation and commissioning of the solar power systems.
