Solgen Energy’s proposal for a solar power car park and associated civil works at Transgrid’s Sydney West Substation has been accepted by TransGrid.

TransGrid who operates one of Australia’s largest high-voltage transmission networks, has named the project iDemand. The delivery of the iDemand hybrid energy system project will include LED Lighting, battery storage and solar power systems.

Solgen Energy will build a solar power car park system to shade part of the substation car parking area. Solgen Energy will also take responsibility for the iDemand civil works which will connect the solar power systems to the substation’s electricity infrastructure and a 400kWh battery storage system. Solgen Energy will also construct a small solar power system to shade the battery storage system from direct sunlight.
