The Local Government NSW (LGNSW) Annual Conference 2013 will be held at the Sydney Town Hall. The Conference is the annual policy-making event for the 152 councils of NSW. For over a century, councils have worked together through the Associations to promote local government and advocate on behalf of our communities for local democracy, informed decision-making and good governance. The Conference is the pre-eminent event of the local government year where local councillors come together to share ideas and debate issues that shape the way we are governed. For the first time, all NSW councils, regional, county and metropolitan, will gather in Sydney with an anticipated 600 attendees from throughout NSW, inclusive of Mayors, Councillors, General Managers and senior staff.
