Solgen Energy has been awarded a contract to install a 78 kWp solar power system at The Gatehouse, a work depot owned by Lake Macquarie City Council.

This project is part of a broader initiative from Lake Macquarie City Council to reduce the footprint for the entire City. As part of its Environmental Sustainability Action Plan 2014-2023, the Council aims to fit some of its largest facilities with GreenPower, including photovoltaic (PV) systems. Lake Macquarie City Council intends to use innovative strategies to achieve a 3% per annum reduction in carbon footprint.
