Solgen Energy has been appointed to install a 150kW solar power system on the roof of Mater Dei School in Camden.

Mater Dei is an organisation that provides early intervention therapy services, education and residential programs for babies, children and young people with intellectual disability.

The school contains a pool which is heated year round and is a special feature to accommodate the needs of Mater Dei’s students. This has resulted in high energy bills for the school and a cost effective solution was required.

Solgen Energy carried out a detailed analysis of the specifications and were able to provide a solar power solution that met the requirements of the Mater Dei School. The agreement includes the design, engineering, installation and commissioning of the solar power system

Project completion is expected at the end of January 2015.
