North Sydney Council has appointed Solgen Energy to install a solar power system on the Kirribilli Centre in Kirribilli, NSW.
Situated in a heritage building on the north side of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Kirribilli Centre is a place where the community can gather, socialise, take classes and seek assistance and information.
The centre is responsible for organising the iconic Kirribilli Markets, held twice a month, and runs the Bradfield Park Carers Program, a not for profit service that offers support and respite to the carers of people with a mental health illness who live in the North Sydney District.
The solar power installation will offset some of the Centre’s energy consumption, provide them with many years of clean energy from the sun and will reduce up to 11.3 tonnes of CO2 emissions yearly.
The agreement includes the design, installation and commissioning of the solar power system.
