Who we are

We are Australia’s number one provider of commercial solar panel projects. We believe that creating value for our customers is crucial, which is why it forms such a strong part of our business strategy. We look at various methods that we can use to propel innovative technologies, build integration and garner industry support. The future of energy lies in renewables and, as a result, we are always striving to improve the energy efficiency of our projects, thereby improve value for the customer.

What makes us different?

There are three key facets of our business that put us above the rest. 1. Successful solutions created by reliable individuals and planners 2. Astute engineering teams that devise our models 3. Unrivalled experience in the field

Don’t believe us? Check out some of our projects!

We’ve been lucky enough to work on some fantastic solar panel projects for commercial ventures. Some of these include:

  • University of Technology Sydney – Rooftop
  • Cairns Regional Council – Rooftop
  • National Broadband Network – Ground-Mount
  • Australia Post (Chullora Sydney Facility) – Rooftop
  • Australian Institute of Marine Science – Rooftop

Some of the above projects required solar panel systems supplying over 2 MW of power, while others were less substantial. This reflects our commitment to commercial projects of all sizes across Australia.

Our take on solar panel maintenance

Solar panel maintenance is an incredibly important part of monitoring a renewable energy system. At Solgen, we believe that our approach is the best in the industry, as we provide our clients with real-time monitoring and alert schemes to ensure that their systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Our online platform

Our online platform fosters engagement with our clients and ensures that they feel like a partner in this transaction and less of a customer. Basically, our application means that you can view how your system is performing, while also monitoring output and weather data. Keeping track of weather data is obviously very important when it comes to the performance of a solar panel storage facility. If weather outcomes appear suboptimal, then alternative arrangements can be made. However, the success of such arrangements is predicated on forecasting the event before they happen and making plans, which can be achieved with our efficient online platform.

Our in-house team

Furthermore, if you need any direct advice or physical assistance with your solar panel maintenance, our in-house team is more than happy to help should any problems arise. Our team will be monitoring your system’s performance using our online diagnostics and performance metrics. We will ensure that your system is operating at full capacity and well-above forecasted production. It is important to get the most out of your solar panels, especially if you have invested a lot in their installation, maintenance and ongoing operation.

Real-time support

What puts our team above the rest, however, is the fact that our app provides real-time updates, meaning our team can provide succinct and meaningful support when it is required. This ensures that the team at Solgen can react swiftly to any rapid changes and guarantee that your system operates at an optimal level of efficiency all the time.

How much is involved in physical solar panel maintenance?

Thankfully, in terms of physical cleaning and monitoring, solar panel maintenance is a very short process. They are very durable and long-lasting, meaning cleaning is not required that often. Having said that, it is important that your solar panels are cleaned. This is because dust, dirt and grime can undermine how much sunlight is absorbed into the device, thereby reducing how much energy can be used and produced.

Cleaning should occur every 2-3 months and, while the energy devices are cleaned, they should be checked for any damage or cracks to the devices. Inspections should occur at least once every 6 months. When it comes to solar panel maintenance, it’s best to use purified water and a brush, as a pressure washer could damage the surface of the device. Steer clear of using abrasive substances, as this could further damage the device’s façade.

What happens if I find a crack?

If you find a crack in one of them, make sure you get in contact with someone from Solgen today! They can organise for someone to get in touch to either replace or repair the device – depending on the damage. Hail storms can cause damage, so make sure you check your panels after a bad storm.
