University of Queensland awards Solgen Energy 110kW solar power project across two sites
The University of Queensland, in a bid to become more environmentally friendly, has incorporated sustainability practices to initiate campus wide engagement in reducing their carbon footprint and becoming more energy efficient.
The Trial Energy Savings project was sought to identify and implement key energy efficiency measures and tools to reduce the University’s carbon footprint.
The University of Queensland has appointed Solgen Energy to design, install and commission a 110kW solar power system across two sites.
The combined solar power installation will generate 200MWh a year and offset 139 tonnes of emissions per annum.
The solar power installation is scheduled to commence soon and be completed by late 2015.
